When Babyganics Claims "Baby-Safe", They Mean It!
To Babyganics, baby-safe isn't a goal. It's a process. It's how they create, test, and improve their products. Along the way from idea to reality they ask lots of questions - by talking to parents, doctors, regulatory experts, scientists. They learn what they should and shouldn't do to make it safe and great. How does the product feel and smell... or doesn't? How does it work and why? What ingredients will make it better? What ingredients are unsafe or unnecessary? How can Babyganics make it easy to use? Fun? Economical? They test it and refine it. Then test it again. And once the product is on the shelf, it's never off Babyganics' radar. They're constantly reviewing ingredients and the latest studies. They listen to your feedback and they're on the lookout for new and better ingredients that might improve performance or safety. Just like babies... Babyganics never sleeps.
It goes without saying (but it'll be said anyway) that Babyganics doesn't use toxic or harmful ingredients. Since there is no generally accepted standard for "natural" and "safe" they've come up with their own strict standard for each Babyganics formula. All the ingredients are vetted by experts as safe to use around babies. Babyganics' list of "never use" ingredients come from Natural Product Standards as well as EU and US lists of ingredients to avoid -parabens, phthalates, known toxins, endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, etc. This is an ever-evolving list, based on the latest scientific studies. The good news is- the more parents learn and speak out, the more focus is placed on the development of new natural ingredients. Which means Babyganics can create new natural, safe, and effective products. In the end, every Babyganics product has to pass the real parent test. Babyganics developers ask "Is this something we'd confidently use around or on our own babies?" If Babyganics sells it, the answer was "Yes".
Despite Babyganics' many 'don'ts' they don't come from a place of 'no.' Really, the best way to help babies develop and thrive is to focus on the 'yes's'. They ask themselves, how can value be added to you and your baby's world? What can they add that will better nourish, protect, soothe or clean? The answers are found in ingredients like NeoNourish, Babyganics' special blend of 100% natural seed oils that touch your baby's skin. It's why they use natural Orange Blossom in the night time formulas to relax your baby. And the soothing, calming ingredients like Colloidal Oatmeal, Olive Oil, Shea butter, Aloe, and Vitamin E. So, yeah, Babyganics' 'don'ts' mean their products are tested and proven to be non-toxic, non-allergenic, non-irritating, and safe for your baby. But the 'do's' mean the products are also gentle, nourishing, moisturizing, cleansing, soothing, rash-reducing, healing, stain-removing, grease-cutting, clean-rinsing, broad spectrum, super-protective, absorbent, and a really good value. So, yeah, do remember the 'don'ts'. But don't forget the 'do's.
If you see a Babyganics product for sale, you know it's brilliantly passed more tests than an Ivy League PhD. They test every one of their products and ingredients for safety and efficacy: Does it rinse? Clean? Protect? Moisturize? Heal? They test their preservatives: Will it last, resist contamination and is it safe? They test for skin irritation (Human Repeat Insult Patch Testing, if you want to get all technical) and eye irritation. They do SPF, Water Resistance, & Broad Spectrum tests for the sun care products and Stability and Micro Contamination tests on all of their formulas. And that's the short list.
The Babyganics Family
Everyone working at Babyganics shows up with a passion. The passion is personal. Each of them has a baby or two in their immediate or extended families. It's also professional. Among them you'll find chemists, board certified toxicologists, research scientists, dermatologists, pediatricians, regulatory experts, and a whole lot of hard-working moms and dads. These are the people who make Babyganics products smarter, cleaner, wiser, healthier, more efficient, and just all around better at helping parents do their baby-safe job brilliantly.
As part of Babyganics' ongoing commitment to add 'yes's' to their products, they've created an ingredient blend that's special enough to get its own little shout out. NeoNourish is Babyganics' own 100% natural, cold-pressed seed oil blend specifically made for the unique needs of babies' work-in-progress skin. It's a combination of oils from the seeds of Black Cumin, Tomato, Sunflower, Cranberry, and Red Raspberry. They're specially balanced to supplement your baby's natural skin defenses against the environment. You'll find it in the products that come in the most direct contact with your baby's skin. From lotions to bath products and even in the diapers. Heck, they're tempted to put it all over themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you test on animals?
Nope. Never. No way.
Can I clean my kids' toys with Babyganics cleaning products?
Heck yes! They're plant-based and safe. Clean those toys instead of buying new ones. (Yeah. Right.)
Are Babyganics hand sanitizing products safe to use on my baby?
The short answer is, yes. Still, hand sanitizers just work best when they're used by the people who are around your baby. That's how you prevent the spread of germs. So that's what Babyganics recommends. But here's the long version: they make a point of using Benzalkonium Chloride and they use it at .1% instead of the 62% alcohol you'll find in other hand sanitizers. If you're curious why, keep reading the FAQ (next question). So yes, Babyganics ingredients are safe around your baby, for sure. They do use super low levels of cleansing agents but they are safe when applied to the skin.
Ok, I'm curious. Why doesn't Babyganics use alcohol in their hand sanitizer?
Remember Benzalkonium Chloride from the previous statement? Well, Babyganics thinks it has tons of advantages over using the alcohol that other sanitizers do. It's less drying to the skin, has longer lasting 'degerming' activity than gelled alcohol sanitizers (2-4 hours of residual protection) and doesn't stain clothing. Finally, published studies have shown that gelled alcohol hand sanitizers actually strip away the natural oils of skin. So, no. Babyganics doesn't use alcohol in their sanitizers. Glad you asked!
Are Babyganics diaper creams and ointments safe to use with cloth diapers?
Yes and yes. And you can toss those diapers into the washer with Babyganics laundry detergent and stain remover too.
Does the name Babyganics mean the products are all certified organic?
No, they are not organic... but read on and you'll see why. First of all, Babyganics can tell you all of the ingredients are baby-safe. That's their focus and what drives Babyganics to make products using the best available ingredients. They create effective products that are safe for your baby and your baby's world. As weird as it sounds, just because a formula is made with "organic" ingredients doesn't guarantee it's safe around your baby. The truth is, only testing can prove safety. Which is why Babyganics tests all their products. So the bottom line is, their products contain plant-based and natural ingredients and they are expertly formulated and tested to meet Babyganics' baby-safe standards.
Does Babyganics use preservatives?
Yes. And here's why: all skincare and cleaning products can get contaminated without preservatives and can breed harmful bacteria and microorganisms. So they use effective but low level, safety-tested preservative systems. And tested, proven, baby safe products is what Babyganics is all about.
Are Babyganics skincare products non-allergenic?
Yup. They avoid any harmful ingredients like parabens, phthalates, and toxins that could cause an allergic reaction for those with sensitive skin. (Hello? Babies!) Plus they use safe, effective, naturally derived plant-based ingredients and natural fragrances. Babyganics personal care products are tested by a third party clinical laboratory and labeled non-allergenic.
What materials does Babyganics use to make their diapers?
Babyganics couldn't be prouder of their diapers! So, Babyganics diapers use totally chlorine free (TCF) untreated fluff pulp. The super absorbent core blend is made with renewable, plant-based material that reduces the amount of SAP gel needed. They use a super soft, non-woven material for the top sheet, back sheet, stretchy side wings, and cuff for your baby's total comfort. Then they use a polyolefin for soft and stretchy tabs and closure for a secure hold. Oh, and non-latex elastic leg closures for a comfy, leak-reducing fit. But wait, here's the best part: Babyganics diapers are made with NeoNourish Seed Oil Blend- Babyganics' 100% natural, nourishing seed oil blend. They incorporate it into the core to help support your baby's skin health.
Can I use Babyganics products for my entire family?
You don't have to be a baby to enjoy the benefits of Babyganics baby-safe products. They are especially great for anyone with sensitive skin - like a baby's. Hey, why not? Babyganics themselves have been known to sneak a taste of that yummy baby pear puree!
Babyganics Founders - Kevin & Keith
As childhood friends, Kevin and Keith had a history of putting their talents together and dreaming big. So years later, none of their friends were surprised when Kevin and Keith joined forces to create Babyganics.
When Kevin and Keith each started families of their own, they found that they shared a "grown up" mission: to help parents like themselves create a baby-safe world. They'd do this by creating a world of products made to go wherever babies go (pretty much everywhere). Because exploring and discovering is a baby's full time job. Every parent's job is to make it safe for babies to do theirs. It's the best way to make sure they fully develop and thrive. They had a lot of ideas, but mainly listened to what other parents -and their brilliant wives- were asking for. "How about skincare safe enough for my baby's skin?" "Can sun protection really work and be baby sensitive?" "Hey, how about dish soap that actually cuts the grease, rinses clean, and isn't toxic?" These questions inspired Kevin and Keith to come up with new products that answered, "Yes!"
But Kevin and Keith didn't do it alone. They gathered a family of like-minded, big-hearted people to make their mission come true. Meet the Babyganics family. They're the people who turn ideas into reality. Here's what they never, ever forget: the next generation of fantastic people, the people who will change their world, are crawling on the floor and splashing in the tub today. Babyganics does their part to help parents make baby-safe homes so these babies can happily thrive... that's what gets them out of bed in the morning. Well, that and the kids.
For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. When using this product, keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove. Stop use and ask a doctor if rash occurs. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical attention or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
